In respose to the wiki article, I thought this was pertinent to the Peanut Gallery.
The internet has offered everyone the opportunity to be an expert. Wikipedia, the ultimate collaboration of user generated material-- a vast amount of knowledge encompassing what seems like an infinite amount of subjects-- and the kicker... for the most part its current- unlike those Encyclopedias at my parents house. Look at Blogs...where do we get our news from? What do we look for as resources?

The accessibility of information is insane. But to be able to discern between truth and tabloid is key. An educated consumer can be a brands worst enemy or most valued customer.
